Nice old steam truck, great photos, but where are the brakes and how do they work, they don't appear to be on the wheels, maybe in the wheels, if they are attached to those gadgets hanging down near the wheel there is going to be a fair bit of oil involved from the Chains.

The Sentinel 2cyl engine had an interesting setup with the wheel differential contained within the crankshaft.

Charlie Fogarty had two Sentinels in his yard where the Aldi is now at Coopers Plains .........one was complete ,one in bits all over the ground ....Both trucks belonged to the City Electric Light Co ,and were used to carry coal ,and were in use through WW2.

you can just make out the brake drums between chain and wheel, and levers (just like an S cam setup) with pull rods are in the middle.
