Did anyone ever see this truck around? believe it was in Melbourne, has a Bedford cab on probably an NR Mack Lanova, I thought it was really neat, only in Oz!!
anything above the reasoning of a mongrel dog is a waste of time

That pic with the dozer i'm pretty sure that's Turners from Orange. Clearys is yellow and either at Bombo or their museum at port kembla The MHP one came from down here their depot was at the bottom of Auburn st. They were bought out by Heggies. I can remember seeing it about in the 60's. It was a common Mod I think cleary had one or may be the same on a float powered by a 6/71. I think Peter Payten had the same mod on their NR. That was Long ago.......
Check out Cleary Bros web site they have a museum
with a heap of old gear 2 ton's sixty fives ect If you are down at Port kembla their yard and museum is on Five Islands Rd.They are usualy happy to give you a tour.

Hey Swishy,
I don't remember seeing that NR Mack when we had the dinners at your place. Does that mean you actually sold something once? Was that because you thought it contained Bedford parts?
Seriously do you know where it went to? There must be a story there somewhere to go with the happy snap and I am sure the people want to know in case it turns up.

Parker Brothers ( earthmoving contractors ) of Seymour,Vic have a B model with a Bedford cab rusting quietly away in their yard.
Not to mention an early 60s K100 ( ex Esso ) that is a real neglected...and not for sale ( Rather let it rust away ) piece of KW history...............

The one with the dozer was restored by Warren Barber who was the owner of J.K Williams. He was a lovely bloke and unfortunately was taken by the big C a few years back. He was in partnership with Turners and between them they owned a lot of Macks.
I beleive J.K's own it now.
