Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Beautiful old truck.
If it's a recent photo it'd be an easy reno to bring back to pristine condition!

I like him fine, all pretty just like that. It's only original once.
Is it a new photo?
The front glass and rubbers look new, but I especially like the high wooden tray sides and the top of the headboard. Is it maybe also a bit of a tipper?

P.S. Where's Captains Mt?

Time to reply . This photo was taken in about 2009 when I baled my grass the next picture I put up may show it loaded with hay. It is in original condition and comes up alright with a polish but the paint is getting thin. I have no intention of restoring it at this point as I do like the old truck look and everything is working ok.
Captains mt is on the national highway 140 kms N.E. of Goondiwindi or 14 km S.W. of Millmerran Qld Australia
Cheers from Robert

Millmerran, right, got it now. Sorta Toowoomba.
As to the truck, ya, original condition is good, and if everything works, why fix it?
Done up it would be just another done up old truck, (Nothing Wrong with that, I'm NOT picking a Fight) but original and still working, lets the truck tell its own life story eh?
Like people.
Nice looking truck.

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

"Original condition is good..." Thanks Bobsboy, maybe we could start a new thread titled Original Condition??? "Lets the truck tell it's own life story..." When I first started in the transport industry (Mechanic) I noticed that the trucks had thick paint on the chassis rails, all different colours
I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.

Thanks for the comment Southbound.
Speaking ONLY as self proclaimed "lurker" with no shed, no yard and no truck I can only offer my opinion on the subject, but right now, I kinda like "original".
However, watching blokes turn piles of bent, broken, rusty and missing truck shaped bits of metal (with the application of many 100's of hours of human ingeniouity and skill) into a new truck is a wonderous thing indeed.
Modifying or rodding is also very cool and has its place. Seeing another persons creative vision come to realisation is also a very fine thing.
Original on the other hand, only comes around once.
Do I, you or we want to preserve the truck and the proof of its contibution to the transport industry or keep a good working example how things used to be?
On the other hand I like RatRods too.

It's earning it's keep. Nothing wrong with that.
A nice quiet semi-retirement, pottering around the paddocks in season, takeing in the views, working at its own pace and not expected to work its guts out at every turn of the key.
We as people should be so lucky

P.S. a "keep it original" thread probably would attract a bit of a following. Maybe one of the members could second the idea?
ICU from here SloSpeed. A winks as good as a nod (A Member too!). I'll sort my photo pics.
