what starter is this?

Hi, does anyone recognize this unusual Delco starter?

Indeed ,over 100 years likely.........notice the 1916 patent date ,and 18 in the serial ........Its also a Delco ,Dayton Electrical Laboratories ,before the merger with Remy ,which was also a part of the General Motors combine.........have you checked the serial ,the records still exist ,or did before the GM bust some years ago.

231 is a1923 Buick. Still looking for 230
