Granite was created by John H
Put our new Granite on the road a couple of months ago. Replaced our CH which had done 1.2 million, had given a bit of grief during the last 100,000 though.

Pete, just what are you saying? A Volvo with a Mack cab in Swishy's colours? That would never be allowed to happen!

Actually John's Granite looks fabulous on the road, the best looking Granite I've seen and in real life the colours are nothing like Swishy's.

Thanks Vic, I do think that the Volvo influence is a good thing, rides well, very quiet, all controls easy to reach and operate etc.
Hi Pete, going well, good start, have only done 11,000kms. It was the last EGR to be sold here or close to it, plenty of torque and good fuel economy, in my application 500hp is ideal. Fingers crossed.

Hi John, that's a good looking truck! I prefer your Cruiseliner but that's just me ;)

The company I work for has 18 truck & dogs and doubles. We bought 10 new ones the end of last year that consisted of 2 x Western Star's with DD15 Detroits, 4 x SAR Kenworths with EGR Cummins (with DPF's) and 4 x Mack Tridents with SCR MP8 engines rated at 535hp.

Without a doubt, no matter how KW orientated my boss is, I think that if we bought any more the Mack's would have some siblings in here. We havn't had one problem with them. The kW's, :-[ :-[.............the WS's, >:( >:( >:( >:(!

Good to hear. The best truck is always the one that finishes the week without requiring a trip to the mechanic. I would have thought "Battleship Grey" would be a factory option on Volvos by now ;)

Hi Cunning,Nice trucks, would have liked a Trident, this Granite was well priced and probably more practical on the off road work for us. The Cruiseliner I drove many years back for a local sawmill, great job but the mill went bust and the two Cruiseliners went first, they were near new then and a great truck to drive.
