60's (and possibly later) trucks had a "bolt-on" power steering setup. I had this on a 1967 Kenworth.
Just consisted of a ram clamped on the steering rod and a pump. The Kenworth system was not too good because it was so powerful it made steering effortless fingertip control but gave absolutely no feedback while driving. There is such a thing as too light.
The other guys might be able to suggest a less powerful and more suitable setup for the Dodge. There should be a modern proper power steering box which could be fitted to the Dodge (off a Ford F100/250 or Japanese?)

This how I did mine, I would recommend you get an engineer to check it out first and make sure you can get it approved. Mine is fully approved and the truck drives like a big ute, very nice. There are a few considerations to take into account when you substitute a steering box, and bump steer is one of them. The steering box is a ZF one of a 1418.
