On headlining, when we had Lorry he never had one so I glued some of the lay flat carpet up there. Was a mongrel job to do by myself but got it done n it too helped insulate against heat n noise

Gear stick boot in the mighty ACCO was designed to let Perkins noise smoke and fresh air into the cab. I tricked it a bit by making a second boot, the second one is upside down, directly under the usual leather one. It reduced the unwanted air flow and some noise. One day I will revisit it and do a better job, not some rough sewn canvas as it presently is. May not be that much room under a conventional cab.
