I never would of thought that these Dodge trucks would be collectable

Not suggesting anything is wrong with them but they were never popular in my mind even back in the day so the "buying one because my Dad drove one" is gunna be much rarer

The word “orphan “ springs to mind. Never regarded them as a real Dodge. Who actually made them, I guess badge engineering?

Does anyone know, are they like a Commer underneath? (facelifted / re-cabbed D2F)

I quite liked them .although the pic truck has 8 stud wheels,so its likely V8 petrol..........the Perkins D3F was a nice truck ,and there were a few about.......certainly not worth the silly prices some sellers think a Dodge badge will bring.

They were called a Commer in the UK

They were a well appointed truck but the Mitsubishi Chrysler deal put pay to that

Thanks Paul. Used to see the odd one or two around but never gave them a second thought.

As far as I know they are not a face lift or any other such thing
They were known as the Commer Commando in the U.K.
About as close as a D series Ford is to a Ford Cargo

Sorry I cant answer any better than that, I have wanted a couple to add to the fleet for some time but havent found the right ones yet

    I think they had a 6354

They would of been a good goer if a Perkins Phaser was fitted

The truck market was changing rapidly in Australia when theres were been sold
