Two women arrested after car dumped on tram tracks. Two women tried to flee from an alleged stolen car after it was dumped on tram tracks in Melbourne's inner city early on Friday.
The driver of the car, a 26-year-old woman from South Melbourne, and her passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Werribee, were first spotted in Hoppers Crossing, in the city's south-west.

Two women have been arrested after running from an allegedly stolen car that became stuck on tram tracks on Kings Way, in South Melbourne.
The silver sedan that ended up blocking the tram tracks at Kings Way for about half an hour this morning until about 5.30am but has since been towed away.

A car ended up on the tram tracks at Kings Way in South Melbourne this morning.
3AW's Pat Mitchell managed to get a couple of shots of the car as it was being towed away.
- 11.31 Kings Way (outbound) in South Melbourne has been reopened after two women in an allegedly stolen car ended up on the tram tracks. The women remain in custody.

I had a very long chat with the librarian, who was very informative. Notice the pullout section (which houses the information and operations desk).
Rural City of Swan Hill covers a huge territory, but with nearly all of the 20 000 citizens are in Swan Hill itself. The towns stretch from Lake Boga in the south, through Swan Hill along Murray Valley Highway to Robinvale and Wemen, and from Ultima in the west northwards to Manangatang.
The library does seem to run on a fortnightly program, and does serve NSW town too.
