My next hot rod will be claimed to be a 1931 Ford Coupe with a fibreglass replica body on a Ferguson tractor base.

By the signage on the door that tractor (prime mover) was used to haul big oversized boats (yachts) from one port to another.

    Good spotting Brocky

I have often wondered why boat people don't just sail to were ever it is they want to go

I had a request some time ago to shift a house boat about 400 km along the Murray river
It can be done, but same question again
Why not just sail the boat there ?

Now to be fair, I know nothing about boats at all, think of the dumbest boat person you know, he or she is like a genius with boats compared to me

My wife's Cousin moves big boats for a living and he will charge you $20-40,000 to move a boat from Perth to Sydney.

Apparently it's cheaper to truck boats across the country than to sail around it.

Even Sydney Melbourne, it's cheaper on a truck.
