Talking of Seattle Kenworth's in the other topic,  does anyone know what happened to Kenny Irwin's old girl? or have any pics? She was originally a bottle truck, Ken bought her after his 141 Scania burnt to the ground (no love lost there I don't think)
Kenny's truck was originally green, day cab, he stretched it for a bunk, painted it red and called it "Desert Venturer". A bit of a legend was Kenny....Last I heard of it his truck was in FNQ with a tipper body on it.
Anyway thanks one and all for the pics and info, keep the Kenworth pics coming.
    Cheers
    Rich

This one was built in 1952 for P.I.E., it had a Cummins underfloor engine.

These were a bit later, around 1956

Those first two CBE's with the van bodies must be brand new, there is no soot on the vans.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
    my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
    I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
