Dave, photo shows roller rocker Alko or similar set up. Have these on our caravan, can be loaded to about 3200 kg. Do get some side movement when turning but runs great on the highway.
Could achieve degree of load sharing by taking leaves out of the tag axle springs and putting them in the drive ones.
Stopped our van “bunny hopping” by taking one leaf out of each spring set.
Boss had a V8 1 Tonner Holden with tag axle.
Bucked empty and had to watch uneven ground too. Good with a load on, “2 Tonner”.
Good luck with the project.

Looked at cupla setups similar to yer suggestion, so far no luck!
Lightweight one suits 40mm wide springs, heavy duty suits Yank 50mm wide springs.
Mine is 60mm wide spring, got Carac chasing up, they are saying there is no roller rocker replacement for 60mm as its a uniquely Oz size!
Think someones having a lend of me.

Can a normal trailer spring set up be used on a driven axle ?
If a lazy axle is the plan I feel a rocker box of uneven length would be the go
Can ger weight distribution better, more over the driven axle than the lazy

    Yes!
    Most definitely!
Had written out long detailed answer, went to send it, tells me time expired, lost whole shooting match!
Spent arvo in bearing shop looking up bronze bushes etc, original rear spring hanger pins and bushes flogged out, IF can do something with old shackle pins can still be a goer!
Will write more, take few pictures and post!
Not in mood right now after long detailed saga lost in ether!

Had to remove shackle pins on our suspension as too hard to grease properly. Ground a flat out from the grease hole both ways. Grease regularly with weight off the suspension. No trouble in 14 years and many trips including corrugated roads.
A little wear on the hangers beside the large spring eyes for the rollers from turning.
Hope you can find the parts Dave.
