Did anyone notice a Mack R600 on FB a day or so ago ........1976 ,and by the colour on parts of the chassis ,ex Telecom ...........didnt last long . at $10k

That doesn't surprise me, the B model was the first choice for a while but they dried up and people discovered just how much better a R model is than a B model

I know you might be a bit biased, but why do you say rhe R is better than the B? Weren’t they same running gear for a while? Ok, bigger cabin and ?
 We’d all hope a later model of anything is better than the last. 
Just curious as to your thoughts

B Model was the most desired by many operators in the 1960’s. When the R Model Flintstone 
arrived it was the best for many.
Perhaps popular with the older restorers.
Build quality of both hard to beat back then.
