The other i was on a job delivering timber and they had 60ton grane there it was one of those that were used as tank carriers.

Anyhow this had to get into this tight spot and to this the hole grane went sideways crabing its way into the spot.

Also saw the other day a prime mover with one of its drives off the ground the funny things you see. Dave

Dont think you would see a 6x4 prime mover with a drive axle off the ground, you would need to lock the power divider to go . It might have been a 6x2 like the Pommies use. Lift axles were around about 40 years back, then they were Illegal ( I think) now they are back.

Pete,

WA lifted the restriction on lift axles a couple of years ago so there is alot here now.
There are a few trailers starting to appear here now with spread bogies on low profile tyres and airbag suspension. Maybe they have finally worked out a spread bogie doesnt root the road any more than a wide spaced tri.
My opinion. Barry

Spotted what could be referred to as a modern version of the little Scammell Scarab semis that they used in the UK for tight work and brewery deliveries - a little Linfox Isuzu (and I mean little, the type you can drive on a car licence) prime mover (!) pulling a dinky little single-axle, single-tyred trailer loaded with beer kegs and pulling into Fed Square. The whole unit can't have been more than 25 foot long.

Probably still could not carry what an 8 ton tray would and needs a semi licence, maybe not if "prime mover" was under 4.5 gross.
What is "hole grane" Deadly ? Some sort of Breakfast cereal or is that new computer playing up already?
