And that looks like a Greek Flagged Chandris liner behind.

Here is a lhd Holden taxi, in Iraq.
www.hcvc.com.au/forum/general/11375-taxis message 128913 (on page 1 of the 8).

The Greek ship is Chandris 'Patris'. I have now found an online rear view which matches (but with no link available). I can transliterate Greek quite well. The first line reads Patris.
The second row is faint, but adds up to Patraieus, which is one letter more than the usual spelling of the major port for Athens (Athena, Athenai), the port of registration for Greek ships.
See: www.ssmaritime.com/patris.htm
and www.theshipslist.com/ships/lines/chandris.shtml

Someone mentioned South Africa and exporting Holden and Ford there, all RHD
Here is a Ford Ranchero ute or Bakkie as they are called over there. This one had made its way to Namibia just north of South Africa. It was in a classic car auction in Windhoek early 2012 when I took the photo, from memory it made $65,000 Namibian dollars or $8000 Aud at the time. A good dry climate there for old cars, very little rust.

In 1966 I spent 9 months in Europe travelling with my family in a VW Kombi.

We saw quite a few FB style Holdens in LHD in places as diverse as Egypt, Italy and Portugal.

We met a Victorian guy In Norway driving and EH Station Wagon around Europe.

Our Kombi was a NSW registered vehicle we shipped there and back. No idea why you would bring it back, but my Old Man did!

I like the paint job on the Ford Ranchero or in our terms an XA Falcon ute. Looks pretty neat.

Does it have a factory Nasco fan heater and there's a 1959 El camino converted to RHD getting around Geelong and South Africa is still the place to get early seventies V8 Holden utes at a reasonable price

Old trucks will make you poor but not unhappy

Your dad may have been smarter than you gave him credit for, and known what prices Kombi's were going to obtain in 2017. Check prices now, they are bringing stupid prices.

That Kombi ended up being sliced in half lengthways and installed on an old Army bridging barge as a houseboat.

I was 14 when we did that for a Rolls Royce fanatic who I still see driving his Ghost around.

My Dad started a business building vans with elevating roofs. he was the first of many to go into the field and probably the first to get out.
