I had photographed this vehicle during a boating adventure, before it appeared at Clunes & Lancefield.
I emailed the current owner, and he has replied:
I bought the truck with no wheels, buried up to the axles in dirt from near Rankin Springs (NSW). I think that the truck was a 1946 KB6 International, altered in the 1950s to a twin steer with a lazy axle and 20'6" [6.2 m] tipping tray to carry wheat. The truck is not a goer: it has a spun bigend. It has the 269 blue diamond engine and I have already had the head reconditioned. I need a full set of 6" x 20" spider rims, 12 of.
I didn't ask about an eta for completion: like all restoration and preservation projects, they have a habit of taking years more than planned, and there is always more than one project on the go.
Enclosed: my photo, showing it on the ground and not on a trailer.
