Yep that's the one. Truck included a spare E4100 Mazda/Perkins with it.

From what I can see the only difference, is the ZB Mazda/Perkins has the individual glow plugs and intake to suit.

and the E4100 being earlier has no glows but a large pre heater in the intake.

Intake pre-heater. I would imagine it would be direct injection ?? To be set up like this.

All swirl chamber engines ...........I had the Leyland on the road for about 8 years ......the motor was great, the crap part was Leyland ..........the diff was a POS ,and I had to adapt a Toyota F70 truck crownwheel and pinion to it...........anyhoo ,in 2004 the rego got too high ,and I had a company ute so I let the rego lapse.

Incidentally ,you cant swap the crank or block between motors ,they are different ...........the injector pump was problematic on mine .....its an early VE/VF type pump, and at just above idle would blow white smoke .............enough for the scalies to notice ,so had to be careful not to coast along with a touch of throttle .....no smoke at full revs ,and the truck would easily sit on 100kmh.

30 odd years ago a mate had a 247 in his F100 4x4. It seemed like the ultimate set up for the time.

A 7.3 bored out to 8 liter with turbo is better in a F100 4X4.

Nothing wrong with a 6BT in an F350 either.

What have you done with the air cleaner, I am in the middle of putting 3 inch pipes into a 2 inch Donalson because its the only thing that will fit, because it's a 4X4 the oil filters are remote mounted on the chassis next to the radiator as there is no room between the sump and the front diff.

Sorry for the Hijack.
