If its a wire gauze/strainer type filter it goes straight on the back of the pump. To get access, you need to take off the side cover with the PTO lever. If you think you can change it while its under the oil, take out one of the bottom cover bolts and drain the oil to that level, remove the cover and get into it. Otherwise, just drain all the oil, and at least you can see what your doing. Some have a lock wire that retains the wing nut? to the stud, but most don't.
If you have multipower, and the filter is the paper element type, it goes in the canister near the radiator. Changing that is pretty self explanatory.
I'll see if I can find a piccy......

Had a French one meself a 30 with the 4.107. Loved the day I got rid of it.
Massey Ferguson name was the only thing the same as a 35.
Yep that tranny/hyd filter is accessible from the pto cover. If your not a contortionist and have tendencies to drop things in small things in tight places then pull the lid off.

I was guessing from the silvery colour chipping on your front axel it was this model if it was it would be worth more

Massey Harris Ferguson had the following paint schemes....
TE20- Stoneleigh grey.
FE35- gold mechanicals, Stoneleigh grey panels
MF35- Stoneleigh grey mechanicals, MF red panels
MF100 series- Stoneleigh grey mechanicals, MF Red panels, and Silver mist wheel rims.
Industrial- Stoneleigh grey mechanicals, yellow panels.
Construction- all yellow.
Later models, from about the mid 80's, the Stoneleigh grey changed to Charcoal grey, which looks a bit more like chocolate.
TE20's did not have a blue stripe on the bonnet as some people have. This added on by a specialist manufacturer who cut down the axles to make narrow tractors for vineyards.
Other countries had other colours too, I think in the US they had a beige and maybe a green, but several models also had metallic silver mechanicals, with the red panels. But they also had a lot of models that we didn't.
Regards, DD
