Autocar trucks

Autocar , the name says it all , love them or hate them , although they had limited sales here in Aust. they have certainly made their mark in heavy haulage and road train work in a few areas . Here are a few that I have photographed in the 70s in Perth and Mt.Tom Price W.A.[
And here are a few more taken at Pimba S.A. in 1978/9 when I started driving full time .This one was in Wayne Lysons colours

These beasts have certainly had a place in my heart and when I heard that one was sitting in a fairly "wet" enviroment in the Adelaide hills I couldnt help but put a little pressure on the owner . A deal was done about 2006 after see this [ i must have been brave ]
so I borrowed a truck to bring her back to Kapunda , [img][[img][IMG][img][img]/

Now who wouldn't like an Autocar, just love the styling of those trucks, tough, built like a brick out house if ya know what I mean

g'day rob .. bruce mc donald is a top bloke and has got photo's of his very proud days as a BTO from the early 60's with the peterbilts, right the way through to the autocar days and beyond
