Detroit Air Box Drains

I am planning to register my 73 Crusader in the next week or so, It has not been registered for about 10 years.
The air box drains from the 8V71 drip straight on the ground. Is this still acceptable to the NSW RMS. My 76 model has the drains piped back to the sump and I know some people have made catch tanks as well.

do U want this as a permanent fix or just to get it thru Rego

temporay
U can plumb the 2 air box drains into sump n May B fit a one way valve so it dont suk up any oil
or plug the lines but after rego let m breathe

permanent fix
U can buy a setup to collect oil n then drain off once in awhile
GM Diesel Bazil also made a tank collectin system for his V6-53 in the Inter

With the EPA the way it is in 2013,I've got a feeling you knew the answer before you asked the question.

Thanks All.
Haven't got around to doing anything yet, apart from making sure the lines are clear. Have been busy on other things. I guess Detroit realised there may have been a problem if they offered this:

Swish, what do you have on the KW?

Our Detroit engined busses 92 series had the breathers plumbed in to the tag axles witch had mush room breathers and a drain tap on them I thought it was quite clever myself prior to that it was half a 4ltr milk carton

Fixing things one big shifter at a time

The only only patch under our trucks iz oil from the air tanks az we leave m open O/Night

Did hear the Air Box Drain Kits
ran back to the sump
and were known as a conversion for buses
as they did not like the oil on the ground @ the big bus stations
